This Roadster has undergone a comprehensive restoration from the ground up. The chassis has been completely stripped and refinished, while the mechanical components have been thoroughly overhauled to ensure this classic drives just as good as it looks.

At the heart of the build sits a strong Ford Model B Diamond engine fitted with a B head, rebuilt with new pistons and rings, factory counterweighted crankshaft with shell main bearings, and freshly babbitted connecting rods. The camshaft features a 100E touring grind, running new adjustable cam followers and stainless valves in one-piece guides, delivering smooth, reliable touring performance.

Further enhancements include:
Lightened flywheel running a V8 clutch plate
Alloy cam gear and harmonic balancer
Float motor mounts and a fully balanced rotating assembly
Weber carburettor for crisp throttle response
Lucas electronic ignition for dependable starting and smooth running

Backing it all up is a fantastic driveline setup featuring a Ford Cortina 4speed gearbox with overdrive, giving this vintage Roadster excellent road manners and relaxed cruising ability.

The bodywork is equally impressive. A large number of brand-new components have been sourced from Brookville Roadsters in Brookville USA, including:
New body
New A-frame
Stock doors with hinges
Floor pans
New seats
Wood floors, trunk and firewall and MUCH MUCH MORE !!!

The result is a beautifully finished Roadster that retains its authentic Model A character while benefiting from modern restoration quality.

Adding to the story, documentation shows this car was sold new in New Zealand in 1930 owned Arthur Clements of Nelson. It comes complete with ownership history documentation and its original number plates, making this an especially special example for collectors of early Kiwi-delivered cars.
