This is a remarkable opportunity to acquire one of the finest and most authentic 1937 Hudson Terraplane Coupes in the country - NZ new, fully restored, and with an unbroken registration history spanning 88 years.

Registered DZ1937, this Terraplane is widely regarded as a rare survivor. There are only a handful of 1937 Terraplane Coupes currently registered in New Zealand, making this an exceptionally scarce offering - particularly in this condition and with this level of documentation.

Provenance & History

First registered in June 1937, this car has never had a lapsed registration and has had only a handful of careful owners across nearly nine decades. Purchased in the early 1990s in excellent original condition - rust free, straight, and complete - it came with full paperwork dating back to its first sale.

Recognising its significance, the current owner undertook a comprehensive ground up restoration, completed meticulously by himself and his father, with the goal of returning the car to factory correct specification while preserving its originality and integrity.
