This 1940 Studebaker Champion Coupe was imported from U.S.A in 2010 and changed hands a few times before undergoing a full 18 month modern restoration in 2017.

A 1988 C4 Corvette was chosen as a donor vehicle, the original 6 cylinder engine and manual transmission was swapped out for the 5.7-litre V8 and auto transmission which has recently been completely re-built, the front and rear arches were widened to accommodate front and rear independent suspension, steering and column, along with power disc brakes were all fitted as well.

The rust free shell was stripped back with the chassis, the chassis and engine were colour coded in the hue of the shells Chrysler Olive Metallic paint job. The interior was completely re-upholstered including the addition of a heater and rear seat which the car originally didn't have from factory, a full JBL stereo system including a sub was also installed.

All the chrome was re-plated and installed and the car is sitting on 16" colour coded steel wheels with new white wall tyres. This vehicle looks stunning and drives a lot better than it would have from factory in 1940, this vehicle is well documented and has graced the cover of Rodder magazine issue 177.
