Price guide $90,000 - $110,000

This 1957 Chevrolet 3100 is a highly original, period-correct example with a genuine and memorable provenance. The truck was sourced in the United States during a month-long family road trip, where extensive time was spent visiting car shows, dealers and major events including the Pomona Swap Meet in search of the right 19551957 Chevrolet pickup. After inspecting hundreds of vehicles without success, the search concluded unexpectedly on the final night near the Santa Monica Pier, where this truck was discovered parked roadside with its elderly owners. Following a brief discussion and inspection, the truck was purchased on the spot.

Finished in Cascade Green, the 3100 is a Deluxe Cab model featuring the highly desirable panoramic rear window, factory sun visor, and chrome bumpers, grille and hood rockets. It retains factory steel wheels with hubcaps and whitewall tyres, presenting with excellent stance and authentic period presence. The timber deck is immaculate and the overall presentation reflects careful ownership and sympathetic restoration.

Power is provided by a 283ci V8 fitted with a period correct Tri-Carburettor setup, paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. The truck remains largely stock, preserving its original character rather than being over-modified or modernised. It drives nicely, has proven mechanically sound, and consistently passes WOF inspections with ease. The odometer shows approximately 90,000 miles.

This is a genuine, well-sorted American classic pickup that combines originality, story and usability, making it equally appealing as a collector vehicle or a standout event and show truck.
