When the HK "Bathurst" Monaro was unveiled in 1968, it marked a defining moment in Australian performance history. Bold, muscular, and unmistakably purposeful, the Monaro was Holdens answer to Fords growing dominance and in GTS 327 form, it was engineered with one clear objective: victory at Mount Panorama.

At its heart lies Chevrolets legendary Bathurst 327 cubic-inch V8, delivering a quoted 250 brake horsepower in factory trim. Monaro claimed victory at the 1968 Hardie-Ferodo 500, instantly cementing its status as a motorsport icon.

In GTS 327 specification, the Bathurst Monaro became Holdens first true performance flagship. A four-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential, front disc brakes, and a full suite of round gauges including the iconic console-mounted tachometer made its intent unmistakable.

Inside, the Monaro offered a level of refinement unmatched by its local rivals. Bucket seats, deep-pile carpeting, and a sweeping, driver-focused dashboard created a cockpit that felt special then and remains so today.

This particular example elevates the Monaro legend even further. It has been restored to the highest possible standard, with extraordinary attention to detail and no expense spared. The quality of finish, accuracy of components, and overall presentation place it at the absolute top tier of restorations.

Following completion, the car was fully protected with comprehensive Paint Protection Film (PPF) applied across the entire vehicle, preserving the exceptional finish and ensuring its presentation remains flawless.

Without exaggeration, this is one of the finest HK Bathurst GTS 327 Monaros restored in Australasia hands down. A reference-quality example that sets a benchmark for others to follow.

More than just a fast coupe, the HK GTS 327 Monaro represents the moment Holden went racing and won. This example represents that legacy at its very best.

A genuine Australian muscle car icon, restored without compromise and worthy of the most discerning collection.
