1969 Plymouth Road Runner 383, Rebuilt Drivetrain

A genuine 1969 Plymouth Road Runner hardtop, presented as a strong, well-sorted example with desirable factory specification and extensive recent mechanical work. This car retains its matching-numbers 383ci big block, paired with the correct 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission and 8¾ rear differential.

This is the sought-after H/P (High Performance) version, factory equipped with a 4-barrel carburettor and higher-lift camshaft over the standard specification. Power brakes with front disc brakes improve drivability while retaining period-correct character.

The engine and transmission have recently been fully rebuilt by West Auckland Engine Reconditioners, with an itemised invoice supplied. The rebuild includes quality upgrades focused on reliability and performance, including a new intake manifold, alloy cylinder heads, roller rockers, headers, ICE ignition, and a Holley Sniper EFI system. Fuel delivery has been modernised with a new fuel tank featuring a Holley in-tank fuel pump and gauge sender, and the differential has received new seals and bearings.

The original carburettor and sender unit are included with the car, allowing it to be returned to original specification if desired with the addition of a fuel pump. The sale also includes boxes of new parts, such as door, boot, and window seals, adding further value and ease of future upkeep.
