This VK is built the way the Bathurst-era originals might have been with another 35 years of engineering behind them. Under the bonnet is a cammed LS1 V8 making 340 kW (455 hp) at the wheels, run through a six-speed T56 manual. Its a fully de-loomed, shaved engine bay with every component painted black, so the car looks as clean as it drives. The package is fully LVVTA certified, and it starts, runs and drives beautifully.
Inside, its all Group A: Scheel front seats, rear seats and door cards, with re-foamed Recaro fronts and a MOMO wheel. Outside, the full SS Group A body kit, HDT bonnet scoop and rear spoiler sit over 20" genuine three-piece Simmons wheels with a 6" dish at the rear. Its a genuine V8 car, NZ new, and it has covered under 3,000 km in the last four years.
