The 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Coupe is one of the most desirable classic 911s featuring the legendary 3.2-litre air-cooled flat-6, paired with the improved Getrag G50 5-speed manual gearbox. Producing 231 hp and 284 Nm, it delivers classic Porsche character with crisp throttle response, strong mid-range torque, and a raw, analogue driving feel.
With Bosch Motronic fuel injection its known for its strong mid-range torque and reliability, the engine uses a 9.5:1 compression ratio and revs to a 6,500-rpm redline. This model is paired with the desirable G50 five-speed manual transmission, introduced in 1987, which provides smoother shifting and a hydraulic clutch compared to earlier gearboxes. Due to Borg-Warner synchros, hydraulic clutch, and higher torque capacity, As part of the 911/930 generation produced from 1984 to 1989, the 1988 Carrera 3.2 is widely appreciated for its classic air-cooled character and durable mechanical design.
