This Porsche 550 spider replica is one of the 38 that were built by Kiwi motorsport legend Graham McRae from 1990 to 2003. It has based on the 1953 to 1956 Porsche 550 spider and has a 1975 Porsche 914 flat four engine, suspension, disc brakes and 15 inch wheels. The original 1.7L 194 engine has been bored out to a 2.1L with several internal modifications major components from Jake Ray Georgia, USA including competition pistons, cylinder heads camshaft valves dual Webber carburettor fitted five speed Porsche manual gearbox

The 550 spider was Porsches first production race car. For such a small light car, 550 KG it achieved many major racing awards including the Carrera Panamericana, Le Mans ,Nurburgring, Sebring too name a few of the 95 victories and 75 club wins over 370 races after the nickname "the giant killer".
