To celebrate 3 Supercar Championship wins Ford Australia commissioned the Scott McLaughlin Limited Edition SM17 by Herrod Performance, 130 cars were made, 30 of which came to NZ. This one in particular being very special in Racing Red and paired with a 6 speed manual Transmission.

The Scott McLaughlin Limited Edition SM17 by Herrod Performance is a 770hp Mustang that combines extreme power with refinement, making it more manageable than expected. Featuring a 5.0L V8 engine with a Whipple 3.0L supercharger, the SM17 delivers 578kW (775hp) with a smooth, linear power delivery, providing a thrilling but controlled driving experience.

Herrod's modifications include a lowered stance, Magneride suspension tuned for both compliance and control, 20-inch wheels with wide Michelin Pilot Sport tires for enhanced grip, and a custom exhaust system that amplifies the Mustang's roar.

Inside, the SM17 features Italian leather trim with SM17 logos, while maintaining a level of comfort with heated and ventilated seats. The ride is surprisingly smooth, despite the car's lowered and aggressive setup.
