Mercedes-Benz built the A250 4MATIC for people who want a hot hatch's pace without the track-day attitude. It has a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder making 165kW, a 7-speed automatic, and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The power goes down cleanly in the wet and out of tight corners, and it settles into a quiet cruise on the motorway.
