The 300 Series is Toyota's flagship, and this 2023 VX is the one to have if you're after the practical side of that. Under the bonnet is a 3.3-litre twin-turbo diesel V6 making 225kW, paired with a 10-speed automatic and full-time four-wheel drive. It pulls smoothly and easily, and it handles a loaded boat or caravan without fuss. It's rated to tow 3,500kg braked.

Seven seats and five doors mean the whole family fits, and the third row is there when you need it.
