A genuine 1973 Jensen Interceptor Mk III, finished in striking Giallo Fly and presented in excellent condition following a full body restoration. This is a Series III, retaining standard running gear and powered by the desirable Chrysler 440 cubic-inch V8, paired with the correct Chrysler heavy-duty 3-speed automatic transmission. Believed to be one of just 13 currently registered in New Zealand, it represents a rare opportunity in the local market.
The car was imported from England by the current owner in 2013 and subsequently underwent a comprehensive, long-term restoration carried out over eight years in the owners own workshop. The focus was on correctness, quality, and long-term usability rather than modification. As a result, the Interceptor now presents with excellent panel fit, high-quality paintwork, and the clean, purposeful lines the model is known for.
The 440ci Chrysler V8 delivers effortless torque and smooth, relaxed performance, well suited to the Interceptors grand touring role. The car has covered 69,000 miles, retaining a strong sense of originality while benefiting from the depth of work completed during restoration.
Inside, the cabin has been fully refreshed with new black leather upholstery, presenting extremely well and providing a refined, comfortable environment that complements the exterior finish.
