The R32 GT-R is the car that earned Godzilla its name, and this white 1994 example wears it well. Clean lines, a purposeful rear wing, and a subtle pinstripe running the length of the body let the shape do the talking. Black multi-spoke wheels sit under the arches and give it a more modern, aggressive stance without losing the original character.

Under the bonnet is the twin-turbo 2.6-litre straight six that made the R32 a giant-killer, the engine every GT-R since has been measured against. At roughly 120,000 km it has covered well under the average for a car of this age, which makes it a good candidate for the next owner to enjoy rather than restore.

A 4-seat coupe with real everyday usability, and a car that gets a reaction every time it rolls past. There are only about 400 of them registered in New Zealand, and the number keeps shrinking as the good ones get locked away. This one is out there being used.
