This Porsche 993 occupies a special place in 911 history as the final air-cooled generation, combining classic Porsche character with modern drivability. In Cabriolet form, it delivers one of the most engaging and usable open-top 911 experiences ever produced.

This example is a New Zealandnew 1997 Carrera Cabriolet, fitted with the desirable Varioram induction system, introduced late in the 993 production run. As one of the final NZ-new air-cooled 911s sold with this upgrade, it represents the most developed evolution of Porsches air-cooled flat-six.

Power comes from the 3.6-litre air-cooled flat-six, with Varioram variable-length intake runners improving mid-range torque and overall flexibility. The result is a 993 that feels notably stronger and more responsive across real-world driving conditions, while retaining the mechanical sound and character that define the air-cooled era.

The current owner has held the car since 2012, with servicing consistently completed on schedule by Nathan Graham, a respected Porsche specialist at Eurok Ltd in Dunedin, who knows the vehicle intimately.
